Keeping up with the research papers

20 Jan 2023

I'm relatively new in the job as a researcher. As with everything else (news, social media, politics), the amount and frequency of new content to keep up with in academia is just mind-boggling.

In the field of AI the pace of development feels very fast at the moment, and there's a multitude of new ideas and possibilities popping up all the time. There's also a lot of stuff that now has become obsolete, or at least not very interesting any longer, with the recent breakthroughs.

I barely have the time to read up on a topic, digest it and really understand it enough to make use of it in my own research. Are there any good ways of filtering out the noise, and keeping updated without losing one's mind?
